I Becomes You, Becomes We, Becomes Us

I Becomes You, Becomes We, Becomes Us is a new artwork by Lucy Joyce

The opening and closing of Tate St Ives will be marked by a special performance in front of the Gallery at 10.00 and 16.00 on Saturday 27 January. This is part of a new work by artist Lucy Joyce commissioned by Tate St Ives Artists Programme, for St Ives.

I Becomes You, Becomes We, Becomes Us is a one day performance. Starting with wet suited performers, the action moves throughout the town as Joyce has asked the residents of St Ives to create a new view of the coastline with fabric. A constellation of neon pink circles will cluster for one day, inviting spectators to look up, out and beyond our usual viewpoint.

With thanks to private donor and the residents of St Ives
